With a background in the visual arts and a keen interest in art and architectural history, Jade’s process is firmly rooted in rigorous dramaturgical and historical research. She is captivated by the throughlines that can be found across different mediums of art and performance, and seeks to find ways of merging these with a broad range of personal influences to define her style of visual storytelling. In addition to her work in the theatrical sphere, she is interested in exhibition and retail design as a natural extension of her exploration into the relationship between space and narrative.
She currently serves as the Visual Merchandising Coordinator for New York-based womenswear designer Sandy Liang. Through spatial styling, curation, and custom installations, she helps define the brand’s visual identity at its flagship boutique on the Lower East Side.
Also a skilled miniaturist and model maker, Jade’s recent miniature work can be seen in Amy Sedaris’ dollhouse (featured in New York Magazine) and on the runway for Sandy Liang. She has worked as a scenic studio assistant building scale models for various Broadway and Off-Broadway productions.
